Camel Punch‘s latest client project, Superhug, went into live beta recently. It’s a Rails-driven marketplace for Drupal, Expression Engine, Joomla, Magento, Tumblr and WordPress designs, as well as HTML and PSD templates.
Here are some of the juicy technical bits we squeezed in:
- HTML5 markup, with JavaScript workaround for older browsers
- CSS3 transitions for Webkit browsers
- YUI3 JavaScript enhancement
- Direct-to-S3 uploading and offline thumbnail processing using our Ungulate gem (an alternative to Paperclip or Carrierwave using SQS, S3 and RMagick)
You can sign up and sell your work through Superhug, or buy templates for your blog or online store. One of the primary aims of Superhug is to make designers first-class citizens, and to really push designers and agencies forward when customers need customisations for their blogs and stores.
